Passage: Mark 12:35-37

Our Messianic vision is too small

It’s Tuesday of Passion Week, a busy day full of questions. The religious leaders had asked Jesus a lot of questions about politics, theology, and the law. But now, here in Mark 12:35-37, Jesus asks the most important question- a question about the true Identity of the Messiah, the Christ.

1. Good Theology can’t save you
2. We must be confronted by the Son of God
3. We can’t simply be impressed by the son of man; we must bow before the Son of God

In Christ, God might be the God of all comfort, but we must be careful that we never allow ourselves to grow comfortable with the Son of God!
