Know that the Son of man has the authority to forgive sins.

The Son of Man came to deal with sin, but also to deal with all his enemies, to triumph over those who stood against him. Those who mocked him and reviled him, the scribes who accused him. And the greatest enemies of sin and death, Jesus stood triumphant over them. But he did so by dying. Death comes before victory. All things must die before they can be raised to glory. And Jesus died and rose and he received glory, he received power and authority over all things and it is this Jesus who we are to follow, who we are to die with but also to rise with. To follow him out of the grave to take part in the work of the Son of Man to build his kingdom and spread his dominion over the earth. And it starts with us trusting in his authority in every area of our life.
